What to expect from your nanny
Live-in nannies work between 10 and 12 hours per day, five days per week. Most families will also usually expect two evenings of babysitting to be included in the salary.
We also offer nannies who will work a 24 hour pattern, or more days per week, in exchange for a higher salary.
Our live-in nannies are able to care for children of any age, from newborn through to school age children.
In terms of living space, families will provide a separate bedroom for the nanny and often a separate bathroom and living space. The more privacy you can offer, the higher calibre of candidate you will attract. Privacy is a very sought-after aspect of being a live-in nanny.

Duties of a live-in nanny can include:
- dropping children at school and collecting
- helping with homework
- planning children’s extracurricular activities

- ensuring children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy
- keeping parents informed of developmental progress
- babysitting evenings

Live-in nanny rates
These are largely dependent on the experience of the nanny and the working routine you would like them to follow. More hours equals a higher salary. As a general guideline, a live-in nanny will receive a salary from £400 per week to £900 per week. Live in nannies are generally more flexible and will babysit in the evenings more often compared to live-out nannies. They are also more likely to travel with the family.
