YACHT CHEF
Our Private Yacht Chefs are highly experienced and flexible, they know that a private chef role on a superyacht can be highly demanding and they always try to exceed expectations.
Depending on the size of the yacht, a Yacht Chef may work alone or with a Sous Chef and a Crew Cook. On Mega Yachts we usually have two Yacht Chefs for the family and the guests and two for the crew, working on a rota basis. Yacht Chefs have excellent knowledge of food, food safety, storage, nutrition and health standards, they are flexible and able to perform at their best under pressure.
The Private Chef will be expected to take full responsibility for the running of the kitchen and planning of menus in order to cater for all the requirements of the family and their guests. To work in a busy household alongside a small team of kitchen staff to provide the highest level of service for the family at all times.
Salary Guide for Yacht Chefs
Junior Yacht Chef: £ 2,000/2,500 net per month
Experienced Yacht Chef: £ 2,500/4,000 net per month
Top Yacht Chef: £ 4,000/5,000+ net per month
