Skiing is fun, fast and a great source of entertainment for all the family. It allows children to get their energy flowing in a productive way and also helps them develop better coordination and fitness.  The adults in the family also benefit from the fitness that skiing offers, as well enjoying the social aspects of it.

Sometimes finding the best ski resort for you and family can be difficult, as there are many options available out there. Not all resorts can cater for all the family, but I will attempt to show you some of the best ones in easy reach of the UK, in Europe.


 

Wengen, Switzerland

This is an excellent Ski resort located in Switzerland, with fantastic, picturesque views and fun for all the family. This resort is car free and is reached by the local train. This offers a traffic-free ski resort, which is much appreciated by families and skiers alike.  There are ski schools here for children and adults and plenty if skiing opportunities, without the risk of getting into situations beyond your means. This is a family orientated resort and that, combined with wonderful scenery and good quality snow, makes this a perfect choice for a ski holiday!

Val Thorens is a renowned place for skiing and activities in the snow. It has one of the highest ski resorts in Europe and it is traffic free. There are many services available, from splendid catering to open roof parties (for the adults) There are various activities in which you can choose from, such as tobogganing, skiing, diving, cycling and riding a snow mobile, just to mention a few. Customers can choose from a range of accommodation offers to suit their taste and budget.

This is a lovely, reliable Ski resort with plenty of activities to do. Families can book to take part in cross-country, or take to the slops with a toboggan. Whatever families decide to do, it is sure that they will have a relaxed, yet stimulating time in this quiet yet pristine ski resort. There are different accommodation options to choose from and plenty of restaurants in which to dine.  Families can take advantage of differing packages for the ski lifts, depending on their needs.


 

Are Village and Bjornen, Sweden

This amazing resort in Sweden is an excellent choice for families as it has a separate secluded area for children, which means they can do activities in a safe and individually catered for environment. There are ski schools for both children and adults, as well extreme activities for those dare devil adults in the group. There are plenty of ski runs, slopes and different level Piste, so families can chose their perfect ski holiday!


 

Baqueira Beret, Spain

This is a superb ski resort, which caters excellently for children and adults in family groups. It has been rated one of the best ski resorts within easy reach of the UK and the rest of Europe.

It is ideal for beginners and has 3 separate skiing areas, which makes this an exciting and diverse choice. It has all the necessary amenities, such as ski school, restaurants and activities.

Whichever Ski resort you chose, you’re bound to have a wonderful time in one these five mentioned resorts. They are all very well catered and prepared to meet the needs and demands of families and the whole family is sure to have a  great time!
